## Context

Medilinks Report Writer is an internal system for collecting structured information, coordinating role-sensitive work, preparing complex reports and managing review and quality-assurance workflows.

## Luther's role

- Owned the product's technical and day-to-day delivery across its development.
- Implemented the initial application foundations, including its dashboard, user, subject, task and structured-input systems.
- Translated a complex professional reporting process into maintainable product workflows and data models.
- Led later modernization, collaborative reporting and carefully bounded AI-assisted functionality.

## What Luther built

- Role-based user, subject and task management with assignment and permission-aware access.
- Dynamic, multi-section structured inputs with validation, progress tracking and domain-specific report generation.
- Collaborative report preparation with drafts, rich-text editing, comments, mentions and automatic draft creation.
- PDF and DOCX generation, report previews, revision workflows and completed-report rollback.
- Audit history, quality-assurance roles, notifications and administrative oversight.
- Guarded AI assistance for structured timelines, contextual retrieval and report-preparation workflows.

## How it works

- Full-stack Next.js and tRPC application backed by Prisma and PostgreSQL.
- Schema-driven forms and parsers connecting structured source data to editable report sections and generated documents.
- TipTap-based report editing with persistent drafts, comments and review workflows.
- Role and permission boundaries applied across sensitive application data, tasks and report operations.
- Docker and AWS-backed production delivery with continuous integration and deployment workflows.

## Outcomes

- Established an end-to-end internal platform for structured work, report preparation and review.
- Supported the product from its initial foundations through substantial workflow, collaboration and platform evolution.
- Introduced AI assistance within explicit product roles and human review boundaries.
